OREANDA-NEWS  On 23 October was announced, that as result of LitPolLink Board of Observers meeting, Mr. Darius Masionis, General Director of Lietuvos Energija AB, a daughter company of National Investor LEO LT, selected for the position of joint venture’s Deputy Chairman of Board of Observers. He replaced Mr. Vladas Paskevicius – the former Deputy Chairman.

“Timely implementation of the project schedule is of vital importance for our country. The Board of Observers will supervise and seek that the company implements the established goals, of which the soonest is the preparation of terms of reference for preparatory works of the link’s construction”, - says Mr. D.Masionis.

“LitPolLink” is a joint venture, implementing the project of Lithuanian and Polish power systems interconnection project, founded on May 19 of this year. 50 per cent of the joint venture are owned by Lietuvos Energija AB, while the remaining 50 per cent -  by PSE-Operator, S.A. The goals of LitPolLink – to prepare a technical project, revise and approve routes of the new power lines, conduct an environmental impact assessment, address issues of land acquisition, permits, licensing, perform other preparatory works.
