OREANDA-NEWS. On October 22, 2008 President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on increasing the sizes of salaries, pensions, stipends and social allowances. The document is aimed at increasing the incomes of the population and strengthening social support of the citizens, reported the Official website www.gov.uz.

According to the document, the salaries to employees of state structures and organizations, as well as pensions, social allowances and stipends will increase 1.12 times on the average.

The minimum salary will comprise UZS 28,040 per month, pensions and allowances to disabled from childhood UZS 55,550, and allowances to elderly and those who are incapable to work and have no required work experience UZS 33,645 per month.
