OREANDA-NEWS  On 31 October was announced, that Transaero Airlines drops its fuel surcharges for scheduled flights to Europe. This affects all regular flights from Moscow to Austria, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Spain and the United Kingdom as well as flights from St. Petersburg to Germany and Spain.

This decision was caused by the decline in fuel prices. Over the past three months fuel prices in European airports to which Transaero performs its scheduled flights has dropped more than 36%. To date, Transaero fuel surcharges on its European routes added up to EUR 44 or more than RUR 1500 to round trip airfare.

Transaero is the first Russian air carrier to drop its fuel surcharges. Besides, this September when jet fuel prices began decreasing Transaero was the first airline in Russia to decline its airfares on all its routes.

Transaero Airlines intends to continue reducing airfare in accordance with the decrease in the cost of jet fuel.
