“Today we have almost finished the negotiations about getting the Russian credit at the amount of USD 2 billion. The first tranche will arrive in early November, the second one at the beginning of next year. Each of them amounts to USD 1 billion,” he said.

Piotr Prokopovich added that Belarus is successfully negotiating with the IMF. The government and the National Bank have asked this organization to provide Belarus with USD 2 billion worth of credit. “These are just preventive measures. All this is designed for the future,” he said.
