OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2008. Next year Belarusian agricultural machinery maker Gomselmash will ship 600 combine harvesters to Ukraine.

Most of them will be sold via the official dealer Technotorg while about 100 machines will be assembled in Ukraine, in particular, by BelotserkovMAZ enterprise. The purchasing amount has been confirmed by contracts and financial resources transferred by customers.

After stepping up its operation in Ukraine this year only Gomselmash accounts for 15% of sales of new combine harvesters. The company attributed the success to wise policies of the local dealership and the operational reliability of Belarusian machines.

In 2008 Ukrainian farming companies bought a record high of 2,884 harvesters, three times as much as in 2007. Specialists believe the complicated situation on global financial markets can reduce sales in 2009, this is why the sales volume specified by the signed contracts will boost Gomselmash sales in Ukraine.

All in all, in 2008 Gomselmash plans to increase export by 50%. The largest shipments will be delivered to Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Argentina. There are plans to assemble around 500 machines at joint ventures in various countries.
