OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2008. Agricultural enterprises of “Siberian agrarian holding” (SAHO) group summed up the results of harvest campaign of 2008.

Within agricultural season-2008 grain-growers of SAHO threshed more than 122 000 ha in Tula, Ulyanovsk, Novosibirsk regions and Altai Territory, including 65 000 ha of fallow lands which had been out of cultivation for many years. In 2008 gross grain yield increased 2.5 times compared to indicators of 2007.

According to the department of agriculture of SAHO, harvest campaign in all regions took place in complicated weather conditions: it was affected by snow which fell on Siberian fields in September and prolonged rains in European part of Russia. Nevertheless, grain-growers of the holding managed to complete thresh on a tight schedule with decent results. Due to new agricultural equipment and active application of crop protection agents produced by “SAHO-Himprom” the holding managed to increase not only total volume of yield, but also share of marketable grain-milling 3d grade wheat.
