OREANDA-NEWS  On 21 November was announced, that thirty-four multilevel road interchanges will be put on the central ring road (TsKAD), Vyacheslav Gordienko, deputy head of Department of Architecture and Urban Development of the Moscow Region, said on November 18.

The official reminded that the TsKAD would be 520 km in length and it width would vary from 4 to 8 lanes on various sections.

“It will be possible to drive into or out of the road only through 34 multilevel road interchanges,” Mr Gordienko added.

According to him, 95 overbridges are to be erected at the junctions with railway lines and local roads as well as 56 bridges are to be raised over the water bodies.

The deputy head of Department of Architecture and Urban Development of the Moscow Region noted that the TsKAD had started being designed and the foreign funds were planned to be obtained for the road development.

Mr Gordienko emphasized that the TsKAD to be built within the Moscow region would provide the forming of direct highways in the directions of the international transport corridors: London – Paris – Berlin – Warsaw – Minsk – Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Yekateringburg and Helsinki – St Petersburg – Moscow – the south of Russia. The TsKAD will also ensure the integration of the road network of the Moscow region into the road network of the Russian Federation and the basic international road network, the official concluded.
