OREANDA-NEWS  On 21 November was announced, that the USA is still the global center of pessimism. Dow Jones index was down 5.56% and sank to 7552 points. Last time the index ended the session at the same level on March 12, 2003. The pessimism in the USA is caused, first and foremost, by a dramatic increase in unemployment rate, while the analysts had predicted some its decline. As a result the new applications for unemployment benefits soared to unprecedented since 90s level of 542 thousand, while the total number of those who got it, for the first time in the last 25 years exceeded 4 mn people. Meanwhile, the threat to the US economy may become layoffs in its car industry, the massive part of which apparently is still ahead.

Today the markets demonstrated a weak positive tendency. The key Asian indices on Friday grew by 2-3%. The Russian markets opened today on the rise, yet afterwards its major indices started declining. This morning the European stock exchanges went up by about 1%. A certain optimism today have demonstrated trades on PFTS SE, though as it usually happens of late, it most likely will not be confirmed by sufficient volume of trades.
