OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2008. The Tambov Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) recognized that "Rosneft" Oil Company" OJSC and "Tambovnefteproduct" CJSC violated the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (concerted actions) and issued a determination requesting the companies to stop the violations, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Under the contact between the companies, "Tambovnefteproduct" CJSC must agree with "Rosneft" Oil Company" OJSC the list of suppliers that sell oil products with the trandemaek of "Rosneft" Oil Company" OJSC to "Tambovnefteproduct" CJSC. As "Tambovnefteproduct" CJSC has dominant position on the market of fuel and lubrication materials, the Tambov OFAS Russia concluded that this condition was aimed a restricting competition.

According to the determination, by 17th December 2008 the companies must exclude the relevant clause from the contract. At the same time the Tambov OFAS Russia initiated an administrative case against the companies under Article 14.32 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations (concluding unlawful agreement).
