OREANDA-NEWS  On 26 November was announced, that the Belarusian government expects foreign investments to make up at least 15% to 20% of total investments in the national economy by 2010, Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky said during the investment forum in London.

The premier said foreign investors seemed more interested in Belarus as a business destination than ever, and the number of companies with foreign capital has been growing.

Belarus has over 4,000 companies with investment from over 100 countries of the world now, up from 2,000 in 2002.

“The state does not allow criminal capital into the country, fights corruption and liberalizes economic regulations,” Sidorsky said commenting on Belarus’ business opportunities.

“Belarus has abolished declaration of the origin of capital, an unprecedented measure, and guarantees 100% repayment of bank deposits,” Sidorsky said.
