OREANDA-NEWS  On 26 November was announced, that JSC OGK-5 and all power plants of the Company received the readiness passports to be in operation in autumn – winter period as a result of the complex review carried out by the state commission having fulfilled the conditions of “Regulation of inspection of power industry entities for readiness to the autumn-winter period” of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

The delivery of the passports of readiness proves a high level of the readiness of the power plants of the Company to be in operation in autumn – winter period 2008 -2009: availability of the regulated fuel reserves, implementation of the planned equipment maintenance, fulfillment of health and anti-fire safety regulations, headcount completeness under the staff table.

The total investments in the maintenance program of JSC OGK-5 for 9 months of the current year amounted to 1.2 bln. rubles. Till now 17 power units, 2 steam turbines, 4 boilers and a CCGT-170 have been repaired at the power plants of JSC OGK-5.

As of November 01, 2008 the back up fuel reserves at the power plants of OGK-5 exceed the determined norms of the Ministry of Energy by 18 %.

In accordance with the order the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation the Commission for readiness review of the Company’s power plants included the representatives of JSC OGK-5, Federal Service for Environmental, Technical and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor), OAO “System Operator of the Unified Energy System”, Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense Affairs, Emergency and Liquidation of Disaster Consequences.

The ceremonial delivery of the passports of readiness by the deputy of the state commission, signed by V. Sinyugin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the RF, on November 17, 2008 became the final phase of preparation of the Company for operation in autumn-winter period.
