OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2008. JSC "Scientific-production corporation " Irkut" was recognized as the best enterprise of Russian defense industry. Yesterday, Dec 2, 2008, Oleg Demchenko, "Irkut" President, was presented with the "Company of 2008" national prize in the nomination "Engineering - Defense".

"Company of 2008" national prize was established by the "RosBusinessConsulting" group and since late 1990s it is annually awarded by the dignified expert council to the most outstanding and dynamic players on the Russian market. The prize’s major goal is to highlight the achievements of Russian companies that feature financial and informational transparency and sport high cost-efficiency, stability and growth. Since 2002 the patron of "Company of 2008" prize is Russia’s ministry of economic development and trade. The prize’s laureates enjoy the priority status for investments.
