OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2008.  The contract costs some 200mln RUR. Unlike the other reloaders operated at Russian and foreign reactors, this one meets the new standards of the operator, Energoatom Concern OJSC: it ensures effective transportation of fuel assemblies and absorber rod clusters. Its two-channel control system can handle the work of several executive mechanisms, thereby reducing the refueling period. The system can also check up the hermeticity of assemblies in process of their transportation, pick up a fallen assembly, “blow up” assemblies in case of necessity and carry out other peculiar operations.

This system is the result of the joint effort of several companies: Afrikantov OKBM, Diakont, Atomspetsservice. This project is a stride towards the production of a serial reloader for NPP-2006 and NPP-2009 reactors.
