OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2009. "Irkut" Corporation participates in Moscow International Forum and Exhibition "Unmanned multipurpose vehicle systems" ("UVS-TECH 2009") held in Central Exhibition Complex “Expocentre Fairgrounds”.

"Irkut" Corporation presents a number of civil-purpose unmanned systems including the "Irkut-2М", "Irkut-10", "Irkut-850" already approved by actual operation. These unmanned systems are ready for series production.

Some unmanned aerial systems by "Irkut" Corporation underwent industrial trials at JSC "Gazprom" premises within 2007-2008.

The conducted trials demonstrated the feasibility and benefits of modern piloted and unmanned aerial vehicles systems when monitoring gas-transporting structures and adjacent territories, including for anti-terrorists, environmental and evaluation purposes.

In co-operation with JSC "Gazcom" over 4.5 thousand kilometers of gas pipelines were surveyed from the air. TV and IR cameras, photo-cameras and side-looking radar with synthetic aperture acted as a payload. As a result a great number of video, photo and radar input was acquired and broadcasted on various channels including satellite.  

The systems under development, like unmanned aerial vehicle systems based on KOAX X-240 and NEO S-300 MK II helicopters, are also showcased at the exposition.

The "Irkut" Corporation products are on display in hall 5, room 1, booth 28 as part of united exposition of the Russia’s leading defense companies. Among them are JSC "United Aircraft Corporation" (UAC), JSC "Concern "Almaz-Antey", JSC "Vega" Radio Engineering Corporation", JSC "Oboronprom" and FSUE "Promtechaero".
