OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2009. The EU delegation at the level of Political Advisers to EU Special Representative for Central Asia is on a working visit to Ashgabat.

During the visit to the Turkmen capital the delegation was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mejlis and the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under President of Turkmenistan. The sides exchanged views on the perspectives for intensifying business and humanitarian contacts on the basis of the priorities of Turkmenistan’s policy and dynamically developed cooperation with the European Union.

The sides’ intention to develop consistently and steadily the active dialogue the major trends of which were set forth in the EU Central Asia Strategy is evidenced by the constructive meetings and talks held during these days in Ashgabat, particularly at the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Health and Medial Industry and the Ministry of Education.
