OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 February 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ imports of beer rose 24.6% on the year in January-December to 12.046 million decalitres, amounting to USD 73.262 million, up 24.3%, according to official statistics.

Russian beer imports edged down 1.5% on the year in January-December to 7.696 million decalitres worth USD 53.479 million, up 7.1%, and Ukrainian beer imports rose 140% to 4.258 million decalitres to the amount of USD 17.843 million, up 140%.

Imports from the Czech Republic increased 33.3% to 52,000 decalitres, to the amount of USD 973,000, up 37.8%.
