OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2009. With the aim to create the best financial conditions for its clients, Ukio bankas increases interest rates on time deposits in the Litas and euros for both private and corporate clients, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Private and corporate clients having placed a time deposit for a twelve-month and longer term will earn 10.3 percent in interest. The Bank will pay the annual interest of 9.6 percent on 6-month maturity deposits. Private and corporate clients having placed a time deposit in the Litas for a 3-month term will earn 9.3 percent in interest, for one-month period – 9.10 percent in annual interest.

From 9 February, the Bank also increases interest on time deposits in euros. A three-month deposit in euros will yield 7.6 percent in annual interest. The Bank will pay the annual interest of 7.9 percent on 6-month deposits. Private and corporate clients will earn 8.2 percent in interest on time deposits placed in euros for a 12-month and longer term. Annual interest on savings and universal deposits also grows respectively.

Yet higher interest will be paid on time deposits placed via the internet banking system Eta bankas: interest on 1 to 12 month time deposits grows by 0.1 percent and annual interest on deposits placed for a 12-month and longer term increases by 0.2 percent.

Ukio bankas accepts deposits in the Litas, euros, US dollars and pounds sterling. The maximum annual interest rate on deposits placed by private and corporate clients in US dollars reaches 6.5 percent, in pounds sterling – 8 percent. Those who are willing to benefit from the proposed time deposit terms may place a deposit in any Ukio bankas branch or unit.
