OREANDA-NEWS  On 19 February was announced, that Ukraine does not face the prospect of default, as the state pays off all the credits and interest on them timely and in full. This was disclosed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko at a briefing summing up the Gov’t sitting on Wednesday.

“There are no issues today in the state sector that could give grounds even to concern or pronounce aloud such a word as “default”. The state, as well as the public enterprises pay off timely and in full all the credits obtained during the previous 17 years,” the Head of Government stated, reminding that “default” means the state's inability to pay its debts or credit sum, or interest on credit.

Yulia Tymoshenko is worried that the politicians and high officials wangle this word, “It is a pity that high officials, some politicians, who, in addition to their wish to take up some post, are not clever and irresponsible for their words, begin to juggle with the word of “default”.

According to her, some politicians have already started presidential campaigns and they use the word of “default” as an additional instrument of influence.

Yulia Tymoshenko urged the politicians and officials not to abuse this definition, “It is really not accepted in the world to pronounce this word aloud, when there are absolutely no grounds for it. Do not speculate on such strong words in dirty politics”.
