OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 February 2009 was announced, that daughter farms of a major Russian grain processor PAVA located in the Altay and the Krasnoyarsk Territories maximized independent seed supplies for the 2009 sowing campaign. According to the specialists of PAVA Agroindustrial Department, this year only a minor share of seeds will be purchased.

It should be noted that for the named farms, the latest developments are aimed at preserving purity of variety alongside quality of the seed material, improving structure of the soil, yields increase and thorough planning of own seed production.

Agricultural production is an important activity for PAVA, as its successful development will influence feedstock security of the company’s processing plants – Rebrikha, Mikhailovsky and Achinsk mills. This year, it is planned to enhance control over farming operations to ensure their accomplishment on schedule. The sowing campaign will be conducted using imported tractors and sowers. This will allow to improve the quality of cultivation, and lower the costs of agrotechnical operations.
