OREANDA-NEWS  On 20 February was announced, that AS "PrivatBank" always positioned itself on the Latvian financial market as one of the most technologically advanced banks that always provided its customers with latest technologies. Their use makes cooperation of the bank and its customers even more efficient with a significant time saving. In 2007, service “Chat Online” was launched on the official website of AS "PrivatBank", which allows site visitors contact the bank employees and ask questions or receive consultations in the popular form of electronic communication.

Considering these facts it comes as no surprise that AS "PrivatBank" has become the first among Latvian banks to equip all its branches and settlement groups with digitisers. The digitiser, or an electronic board, is device similar to a conventional pen, which the customers use to sign documents. The signature should be written on a special pad (board) – these are the only differences of the device from a pen and ink. Signatures that the customers make on the bank documents via the digitiser have the same legal force as traditional signatures put on paper with ink.

Introduction of digitisers allows for a significant cut in use of paper and, consequently, save more trees on the planet. In Latvia, AS "PrivatBank" has reputation of a bank that actively takes part on a regular basis in various charity campaigns. Social activity is an important ingredient of world perception of AS "PrivatBank" and its employees; therefore, the bank plans to continue its active participation in public life. Besides, care and protection of the environment are not just words for AS "PrivatBank", as they are followed with certain steps and determined action. It has become a tradition for the bank employees to carry out spring campaigns when the environment in Riga and regions where branches of AS "PrivatBank" operate are put in order.

AS "PrivatBank" employees who work with customers have noticed that introduction of digitisers at the bank branches caused high interest of visitors. As expected, the novelty was accepted positively particularly after the explanations why the bank had introduced digitisers. It is hard to say what the customer like most – their share in taking care of the environment on the planet or the opportunity to use another convenient technology.
