OREANDA-NEWS  On 25 February was announced, that 20 February 2009 the international conference “Crisis – New Challenges for Business”, in which there participated the representatives of Baltic International Bank, took place in the hotel Radisson SAS Daugava. In terms of the conference experts of different spheres shared their experience, provided their advices and forecasts for further business development in conditions of economy slowdown.

The conference was organised by Riga Managers School’s division RMS Forum in cooperation with Employer’s Confederation of Latvia and newspaper "Bizness & Baltija".

The conference’s work was organised in 3 plenary sessions. At the conference spoke 14 experts, including: Andrei Kiprovich, analyst of channel of the Russian TV RBC, talked over reasons of global crisis, possible stages, versions of consequences and unknown reasons of exit from it;  Pekka Puolakka – partner at Sorainen Riga office, informed about risks on markets in recession; Edmunds Beпskis from Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia informed about measures to support entrepreneurship, Mвrtiтр Zutis from Deloitte Latvia tried to model future with the aim to define the exit from difficulties; Remi Troch from law firm BDO Zelmenis & Liberte talked over possible changes in tax legislation and tax optimisation; and Matоss Paegle representing Gild Bankers Latvia offered for consideration a model of capitalisation of crisis, and talked about the assessment of company strengths and selection of appropriate strategy.
