OREANDA-NEWS  On 25 February was announced, that the second consecutive year Mobiasbanca - Groupe Societe Generale nominated as the most active trade finance Bank in Moldova.

On January 29th, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) organized the conference "The liquidity crisis and its impact on trade finance in Emerging Europe and the CIS". It was held at EBRD headquarters, in London, Great Britain, gathering banks-participants in Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) from all over the world. In the framework of this conference were presented awards for the most active banks in 2008, Mobiasbanca being nominated the second consecutive year as the most active bank in the Republic of Moldova.

“This award represents the recognition of our efforts in supporting Moldovan successful businesses. The fact that we are nominated the second year in a row, shows once again our continous support to moldovian companies and promotion of foreign trade”, said Dmitri Predius, Corporate Banking Director.

The EBRD's Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) aims to promote foreign trade to, from and within South-Eastern Europe and the CIS (the EBRD countries of operations).

Mobiasbanca activates in the framework of the TP since 2002, issuing guarantees, letters of credit, stand-by letters of credit to the companies that carry out foreign trade related activities in the republic and was chosen by EBRD for the good reputation created in front of foreign investors, as well as the international financial institutions.
