OREANDA-NEWS. March 3, 2009. Vasili Bechvar’s Korlea Invest Holding has been deprived of Ukrainian electricity export monopoly. The Cabinet of Ministers decided to renew the electricity sale tenders due to the reduced profits of Ukrinterenergo, the state-run exports operator. Experts assessed that return to the practice of tenders will give the company additional USD 70-90 m in annual profits.
 
The information on the Government’s task for the Fuel and Energy Ministry to renew the electricity sale tenders by the Deputy General Director of Ukrinterenergo Ms. Irina Tikhonchuk. "We’ve not received the document itself. But we know that the tenders are to be re-launched by mid March. The Ministry was tasked to ensure access of all customers to the tenders,"– said Ms. Tikhonchuk.
