OREANDA-NEWS. March 3, 2009. The Azerbaijani delegation headed by deputy communications minister Elmir Velizadeh is participating in CeBIT-2009- information technologies exhibition taking place in Hannover, Germany.

The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies (MCIT) of Azerbaijan informs that besides its employees, the delegation includes representatives of country’s private ICT sector.

"The achievements of Azerbaijan in the sphere of ICT for the past few years will be presented on the stand organized by the Ministry. Participation in the exhibition of the leading companies in the sphere of ICT enables Azerbaijan to demonstrate its accomplishments achieved in this sphere and once again to underline attractiveness and reliablity. As to private companies CeBIT-2009 will give them additional opportunities to enter the world market and increase their export potential,” the MCIT reported.

This year the exhibition is attended by 4,300 companies from 69 countries. The basic objective of the current exhibition is technical and social issues arising at a result of  high development of Internet-technology, maintenance of high speed of wideband mobile access to the Global network, environmental information safety  and computer technology, technology in the sphere of medicine and education. German chancellor Angele Merkel will speak at the opening ceremony.
