OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 March 2009 was announced, that IDGC of Centre, JSC had summed up the results of its work on provision of economic safety last year and defined its objectives for 2009.

The meeting of the Economic Safety and Mode Support Administration (ESMSA) of the company that took place last week in the Lipetsk Region analysed results of work of specialised departments of eleven subsidiaries.

In 2008 IDGC of Centre, JSC registered 472 cases of theft, what is by 40% less than in 2007. The recovered losses from facilities and electric energy thefts surpassed 24m roubles. This is by 9m roubles more than in 2007.

Assistant General Director for Economic Safety, IDGC of Centre, JSC, Sergei Mashchenko noted, “We have managed to reduce essentially the number of thefts at the company’s power facilities due to preventive work, interaction with law-enforcement authorities and regular explanatory work with the population”.

Last year the specialists of the Economic Safety Service registered 224 thefts of electricity transmission lines, 80 thefts of ETL supports, 27 thefts of metallic constructions, 92 cases of disassembling of transformers and 49 cases of theft of other grid equipment and material valuables. Within the accounting period 299 cases were initiated concerning thefts and breaks of grid equipment, 21case was transferred to the court, and 71 person was punished. IDGC of Centre, JSC Economic Safety Service is actively cooperating with law-enforcement authorities. In 2008 the branch representatives helped to investigate 50 criminal cases.

Another important activity of ESMSA is check of reliability of commercial partners and suppliers for prevention of possible economic risks. In 2008 ESMSA employees checked 1,542 firms. Together with the specialists of the Technological Connection Administration, the meeting considered issues connected with ESMSA methods of work on registration and prevention of technological connection abuses.

Strategic tasks of IDGC of Centre, JSC Economic Safety Service for 2009 are organisation of detection of companies that have debts in electricity payment, prevention of infringements and abuses in technological connection, strengthening of safety support at choice of counteragents and control over the quality of safety services.
