OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2009. Russia’s Finance Ministry has allocated RUB 15 bn in federal budget loans to regions in 2009, including a one-year RUB 2 bn loan to the Moscow region, deputy finance minister Anton Siluanov said.

“We have issued RUB 15 bn in loans this year... (among credit beneficiaries are) the Republic of Tatarstan, the Sverdlovsk and Kemerovo regions, and the Republic of Chukotka”, Siluanov said and noted that loans are issued as part of the initially approved RUB 20 bn limit. The new amendments to the 2009 budget, which the government is to address on March 19, the limit of federal budget funds for budget loans has been increased to RUB 150 bn.
