OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2009. Ukraine is facing growth of industrial output owing to the bail-out measures of the Government. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on opening a Govt’s session.

Yulia Tymoshenko stressed according to the data of State Statistics Committee, February demonstrated growth of industrial production by 5.4% as compared to January. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, extracting and processing industry increased by 9.9%, light – 20%, textile – 19.1%, machine-building – 21.8% in February.

“I consider such numbers prove positive tendencies are on. We can not state categorically the crisis is over, but we can admit the economic slump has stopped and invigorating processes start,” the Premier underlined.

Yulia Tymoshenko believes it is “a sign of stabilization”. The Premier thanked to the members of Government for anti-crisis measures made by the Government and local authorities in synergy that resulted into positive dynamics of industrial growth in February.
