OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 March Far East Telecom (RTS: ESPK, MICEX: DLSV, ADR US OTC: FEEOY, Deutsche Bourse and Berlin Stock Exchange: D7A), the biggest telecom of Russian Far East Region, announced that Federal Arbitration Court of Moscow approved unlawfulness of tax claim to the Company.

Appealed decision of tax authority was made based on the results of field inspection of issuer’s business in 2003 – 2005. Total sum of the claims to the company from tax authority for the inspected period were more than 900 million Roubles, including 707 million Roubles for delay giving of documents copies to tax authority. Far East Telecom claimed to the Federal Arbitration Court of Moscow against the decision of tax authority to approve unlawfulness of the tax claim.

Courts of primary and appeals jurisdictions fully met Far East Telecom’s suit, thus Interregional Inspection of Federal Tax Authority for the Largest Taxpayers No. 7 as of February 9, 2007 decision has been canceled in the dispute part of case. At the meeting of March 10, 2009 Federal Arbitration Court of Moscow refused claim to reconsider took place court’s acts of tax authority.
