OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2009. Some 50 Gomselmash combine harvesters are expected to be assembled in Tatarstan in 2009.

The Belarusian combine harvesters will be assembled at the Tatelectromash Company (Naberezhnye Chelny). A full set of component parts to assemble Palesse GS812 combine harvesters has been already supplied to Naberezhnye Chelny. According to the signed agreement, the first machines will be assembled in the middle of April.

The decision to set up the joint production was adopted during a visit of the governmental delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) led by Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov to Gomel in January this year. Then, the Russian gusts visited Gomel and had talks with the leadership of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. According to the Tatarian side, over the recent years, the Gomselmash machinery has made a big contribution to the agricultural sector of Tatarstan. For instance, only in 2008, Tatarstan purchased 211 Belarusian combine harvesters.

According to Vasily Kozlov, the Belarusian side undertook the certification of combine harvesters in the Russian Federation, making of manufacturer’s certificates. The combine harvesters will be assembled in Naberezhnye Chelny with the participation of specialists from Gomel. Moreover, the sides have determined the list of the component parts which will be produced by Tatelectromash for the Gomselmash machinery.

In the near future, Tatelectromash and Gomselmash intend to produce 250 combine harvesters a year. The final target is to produce 2,000 combine harvesters a year. The Gomselmash machines will be supplied to the Ural and eastern regions of the Russian Federation.
