OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2009. Port Technical Company Ltd - Port of Gdynia Authority S.A.'s dependent company intended for privatization successfully purchases new contractors on steel constructions market.

In the last few weeks a process of cranes construction has begun in the area of Port of Gdynia. The cranes are intended for export to Scandinavian countries. Construction contract for two steel unloading cranes is realized by Port Technical Company Ltd. Each crane with its equipment weights around 1200 tons, which is quite much considering previous orders. After the construction is finished, cranes will be loaded on ships and transported to final client in Denmark. Proceeded Works have been contracted for 9 months of 2009.

Considering complex and difficult construction process demending coordination of subconstractors and single stages of work, time is in shortage, thus all works have to be proceeded in a very efficient way. Payer is Finnish company Konecranes, which cooperates with Port Technical Company Ltd. for ten years. Final client is Dannish group Dong Energy. Worth highlighting is fact, that all steel elements of cranes are produced In Polish factories and then transported to PTC's area, where the final construction is done. What is something unusual, is that both cranes are constructed at the same time, which haven't happened before in PTC Ltd.
