OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2009.  Presently, the units of Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant are operating at a total capacity of 3,500MW: 1st and 2nd units at 1,800MW, the 3rd and 4th units  at 1,700MW.

The units are operating safely and efficiently.

Since the beginning of this month Leningrad NPP has generated a total of 2.220bln KWh or 121.6% of the monthly plan.

Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 7.268bln KWh, since its launch in Dec 1973 – 771.877bln KWh.

According to the automatic radiation control system of Leningrad NPP, the radiation background at the plant and in its 30-km monitoring zone is within norm.
