OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 was announced, that a recreation centre with a swimming pool was opened on Trofimova Street in Yuzhnoportovyy township of Moscow on March 27.

According to the prefecture of Moscow’s southeastern administrative district, the centre is one of the hugest sports objects of such a type, its usable area is about 2,000 square metres.

The centre was built with the use of ecological floor timbers and modern construction materials. Its pool will be used for health-improving swimming and aqua aerobics, the courses on sambo, judo, boxing, hand-to-hand fight, fitness and therapeutic physical training for senior and disabled people will be conducted in a sports hall on the first floor.

The sports object is friendly for physically challenged people – there are special ramps and handrails as well as locker rooms, shower cubicles and lavatories equipped for disabled visitors to the centre.

Up to 500 people can visit the swimming pool and sports hall of the recreation centre daily on condition it is open 12 hours per day.
