OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 En+ Group announced the appointment of Vladimir Petrochenko as Deputy CEO of EuroSibEnergo.

The program for power machine building development, previously managed by OAO Russian Machines, is transferred to EuroSibEnergo, which brings about consolidation of all Basic Element holding's nuclear projects in En+ Group that has had a dedicated management group to develop uranium production projects already.

Vladimir Petrochenko will be responsible for the optimization of the activities of EuroSibEnergo, as well as for potential cooperation with the RosAtom State Corporation through creating a joint venture to develop and implement nuclear energy projects - and design a 4th generation lead-bismuth fast reactor (LBFR) as the core facility for future state of the art A-plants, in particular.

Until recently, Vladimir Petrochenko was head of the power machine building division of Russian Machines, where he provided for the interaction with RosAtom in the field of LBFR design.

Biography

Vladimir Petrochenko (PhD) was born on April 8, 1962 in the town of Belovo of the Kemerovo region. He graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University (specialization - Thermal Power Stations). He was also trained in enterprise risk management at Deloitte Academy.

He was First Deputy CEO of OAO KuzbassEnergo; he also headed the Electric Power Department of the RF Energy Ministry. He was head of special projects of EuroSibEnergo in 2004-2005, and head of the power machine building division of Russian Machines in 2005-2009.
