OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2009 was announced, that FSI Main State Expert Review Board had approved the project documentation for the construction of the Yuzhno-Priobsky gas processing plant and gas pipeline that is supposed to transport the dry lean gas that is produced there into the gas pipeline system.

The project’s participants have taken the decision to begin work on the construction of the gas pipeline in the near future. Until the Yuzhno-Priobsky gas processing plant begins operating, the 6.9 km long gas pipeline will be used to deliver gas from the gas pipeline system to the Gazpromneft-Khantos LLC Yuzhno-Priobsky gas turbine electric power plant that is under construction.

Work on construction of the gas pipeline is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2009. The gas pipeline’s project designer is OJSC Scientific Research and Design Institute for Gas Processing – SIBUR’s research center for gas processing technologies.

In August of 2007, JSC Gazpromneft and SIBUR Holding JSC launched a joint venture, Yuzhno-Priobsky GPZ LLC, to process associated petroleum gas from the Yuzhno-Priobsky field, which is being developed by the oil company.

The JV’s founders were the companies’ subsidiaries, Gazpromneft-Khantos LLC and JSC SiburTumenGaz. Each partner has a 50% share in the company’s equity capital. In the near future, the companies will decide on the gas possessing plant’s capacity to process associated petroleum gas.

In December of 2008, Yuzhno-Priobsky GPZ LLC received OAO Gazprom’s official technical specifications to connect to the main-line gas pipeline, Gazosnabzheniya Khanty Mansiysk from the Yuzhno-Priobsky GPZ pipeline.
