OREANDA-NEWS. On April 15, 2009 First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) has made the decision to suspend cooperation with rating agencies Moody's (Investors Service) and Fitch (Ratings), reported the press-centre of FUIB.

"This year credit ratings have no practical value as the world capital markets are mostly closed for Ukrainian borrowers. For this very reason it would be better to use the resources to ensure stable operation of the bank and protect the interests of our clients”, said FUIB Board Chairman Rafal Juszczak. “We are happy with the partnership relations we have built during the years of cooperation and we are thankful to the rating agencies for their support and understanding".

The Board Chairman also noted that FUIB will raise the issue of business cooperation with the rating agencies again as soon as the world capital markets come back to normal and see some positive changes.
