OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 April 2009 was announced, that according to preliminary statements, the aggregate written premium of IJSC Ingosstrakh in the North West Federal District of the Russian Federation for 2008 amounts to RUR3.3bn, or 6.5% more than in 2007.

The size of written premium in voluntary insurance other than life insurance was reported to amount RUR3bn (+8.2%), including RUR375.7mln (+22.2%) in private insurance, RUR2.5bn (+8.2%) in property insurance and RUR196.9mln in liability insurance. The size of written premium in compulsory motor TPL insurance was RUR294.8mln.

The payments made by IJSC Ingosstrakh in the North West Federal District under direct insurance contracts in 12 months 2008 amounted to RUR2bn, including RUR315.5mln in voluntary private insurance, RUR1.5bn in property insurance and RUR44.7mln in voluntary liability insurance. The payments made in compulsory motor third party liability insurance amounted to RUR191.9mln.

The most dynamic areas of business for the branches of IJSC Ingosstrakh in the North West Federal District in 2008 were private and property insurance.

The highest premium in the amount of RUR2.2bn was reported by the branch in St. Petersburg. The written premium in the Leningrad Region is reported to reach RUR329.4mln. In St. Petersburg, Ingosstrakh paid RUR1.5bn to its clients, while the payments made in the Leningrad Region totaled RUR165.3mln.
