OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2009. Energy generating company Vostokenergo intends to accomplish the planned mid-life repairs on unit № 3 of Zuevskaya Thermal Power Plant (ZuTPP, Donetsk region) before 30.04.09.

According to the message, the company started repairing this unit on 30.03.09 and plans to accomplish the repair on 29.04.09.

The cost of repair is estimated as UAH11.5 m.

In particular, within the framework of the repair, Vostokenergo intends to perform the corresponding repair works on the boiler, the turbine, the generator and two ball-drum mills of the unit.

It is planned that the result of the performed works will be the improved technical and economic indicators of the unit’s performance and the reduced standard fuel specific consumption at the expense of own electricity consumption decrease.

As the agency reports, in January Vostokenergo accomplished the modernization of Zuevskaya TPP’s 2nd unit, which resulted in the installed capacity increase from 300 MW to 315 МW.

Reconstruction of the units was started in June 2008; the cost of works is UAH117.2 m.

Vostokenergo plans to accomplish the reconstruction of all its TPPs’ power units before 2016.

In particular, before 2012 it is planned to reconstruct 4 power units of Zuevskaya Kurakhovskaya and Luganskaya TPPs.

Vostokenergo incorporates Zuevskaya, Kurakhovskaya and Luganskaya TPPs.

The company is incorporated into Donbass Fuel-Energy Company (Donetsk) managing the energy assets of SCM.
