OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 April 2009 was announced, that Alexander Faustov IES Technical Director has visited IES-Holding “Generation of Urals” Division’s Perm CHPP-6 to get know what the status of power station reconstruction project implementation is.

IES-Holding is executing the top-priority project of power station reconstruction at Perm CHPP-6. In accordance with the resolution accepted by TGC-9 Board of Directors in January this year, 5,385 billion rubles will be assigned to further implementation of the investment project. A combined-cycle plant with capacity of 120MW will be installed in a separate building that will allow increasing power generation more than three times.

Along with construction of the combined-cycle plant at Perm CHPP-6 two E-160 steam boilers will be installed. One of the new boilers has been already installed, has passed trial operation and output heat energy into the system of Perm district heating. In the end of March there was received a permission for the new boiler for use of gas fuel. It is planned to put E-160 boiler into commercial operation within the nearest time.

As of today the designing of the second E-160 steam boiler has been completed. The mounting of the construction has been started. As a result of implementation of IES-Holding priority-driven project due to construction of the combined-cycle plant and two E-160 steam boilers the heat capacity of Perm CHPP-6 will increase by 240 Gcal/hour – up to 833cal/hour by the year 2010.

Perm CHPP-6 is located almost in the center of Perm and provides with energy Sverdlovsky, Leninsky and Motovilikha districts as well as several large industrial companies.

During the visit to Perm CHPP-6 Alexander Faustov could see the status of the project implementation straight on the site and noted that it was necessary to make all efforts to introduce the energy capacities in the center of Perm by the appointed date.
