OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 April 2009 OJSC “MegaFon”, the first all-Russian mobile operator, announced about a new appointment. Valery Ermakov, who used to be the General Director of OJSC “MCS-Povolzhie”, was appointed the Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Mr. Ermakov will be in charge of managing the company’s operations, as well as coordination of development of MegaFon’s subsidiaries.

“I am happy to welcome Valery at the new position,” said the Chief Executive Officer of MegaFon, “In Volga region the company that was managed by Valery Ermakov was able to achieve very high results. Valery proved to be the maximum efficient manager who always reaches his goals. His experience will be beneficial for entire MegaFon”.

Valery Ermakov was born on April 9, 1968 in Tambov. In 1991, he graduated from the Tambov Institute of Chemical Machinery with the degree in Design and Technology of Radio & Electronic Devices and received qualification of the Radio Engineer-Designer-Production Engineer. After graduation he was teaching at the chair of Automated Systems and Instruments.

Since 1994, he had worked in OJSC “Tambov Telecommunications” for six years, where he was promoted from a telecommunications engineer to the Deputy General Director.

In January 2001, Valery Ermakov was appointed the General Director of OJSC “MSC-Povolzhie”.
