OREANDA-NEWS. May 6, 2009. The meeting of the Central Subsurface Use and Licensing Management Commission took place headed by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

The meeting addressed the expediency of further developing a number of areas in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug as well as further exploring the areas in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Okhotsk Sea offshore.

The participants considered the results of exploration works made in Gazprom’s licensed areas in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the issues of obtaining the rights to use the subsurface resources in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the aim of raising the efficiency of the Eastern Gas Program.

Background:

Gazprom’s Central Subsurface Use and Licensing Management Commission is a permanent body established for improving the management efficiency and raw material base development at Gazprom Group.

The Commission’s activity is targeted at optimizing the Gazprom raw material base, securing the planned gas production levels and increasing the efficiency when exploiting subsurface resources.
