OREANDA-NEWS. On 08 May 2009 was announced, that an employee of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company in Novomoskovsk, Tula Region (Novomoskovskaya Joint-Stock Company Azot OJSC), has been awarded the honorary title of “Distinguished Chemist of the Russian Federation.” He accepted the award in person from the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev at an official award ceremony for employees of various industries, hosted yesterday at the Ekaterininsky Hall in the Kremlin.

Vladimir Veselov, a maintenance technician at Novomoskovsky Azot’s Ammiak-4 workshop, was given the award for his many years of conscientious work in the chemical industry. Over more than 30 years of work, Veselov has forged a new ‘dynasty’ at the enterprise: his wife and children are also part of the workforce.

“EuroChem is a reliable company that can offer great career opportunities,” said Veselov. “That’s why my children came to work here after graduating from the Novomoskovsk Institute of the Mendeleev Russian Chemical-Technological University. For me, EuroChem stands for important things like a steady income and good working conditions.”

As soon as he finished Vocational School 10 in 1974, Vladimir Veselov came to work for Novomoskovsky Azot. He was first assigned to the Acetylene workshop, where he worked as a machine operator.

Veselov then served in the military, after which he came back to the already familiar workshop, only now as a maintenance technician. In 1985 Vladimir, by now an experienced, responsible and competent technician, was transferred to the Ammiak-4 workshop, where he has worked to the present day.
