OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2009. In April 2009 net international reserves (NIR) of the Central Bank (CB) of Azerbaijan reduced by 0.6% versus this March and growth on an annualized basis (compared to April 2008) made 10.02%.

Since December 2008 Bank’s NIR decline has reached 29.7%.

The CB reports that as of 1st May 2009 CB’s NIR totaled AZN 4,105.7 million versus AZN 4,130.1 million as of 1st April, AZN 4,751.9 million as of 1st March, AZN 5.071 bn as of 1st February and AZN 5.112 bn as of 1st January 2009 and AZN 4,562.8 million as of 1st May 2008.

By 1st May 2009 the CB had only AZN 4,165.6 million of overall interCentral assets and AZN 58 million of liabilities versus AZN 4,190.3 million and AZN 57.7 million as of 1st April, AZN 4.811 bn and AZN 57.2 million as of 1st March, AZN 5.134 bn and AZN 60.7 million as of 1st February, AZN 5.18 bn and AZN 64.9 million as of 1st January 2009, AZN 4,641.8 million and AZN 79.9 million respectively as of 1st May 2008.

By the reported date CB net internal assets totaled (-AZN 363.4 million) versus (-AZN 378.3 million), (-AZN 536.5 million), (-AZN 619.7 million), (-AZN 148.8 million) and (-AZN 1,099.4 million) respectively.

As of 1st May 2009 exchange rate was AZN 0.8035 to the US dollar.
