OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2009. Kaspi Bank (Almaty), securities of which are listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), informed KASE, reported the press-centre of KASE:

In April kaspi bank issued 23,000 credits for a total of KZT2.8 bn. Last year the bank issued about 15,000 credits monthly, this year the bank plans to double consumer crediting.

Kaspi bank's consumer credit line includes credits for purchasing equipment in 2000 stores throughout the country and credits for life improvement, including repairs, education and rest. Credit sum may reach KZT1.5 m. The most popular selling product in April is a card, which allows clients to use credits on a permanent basis. An attractive condition of a credit line is a size of a minimum monthly payment - KZT9,600.

Currently, kaspi bank is the only Kazakhstan-based bank, which may offer credits with execution time from 15 minutes to a day depending on the amount. Credits are offered to population through a largest branch network consisting of 150 units and 2,000 stores throughout the country.

In 2008 kaspi bank issued 240,000 consumer credits. The bank services most clients among Kazakhstan-based banks. The bank plans to increase its client base and stake on the retail market.
