OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2009. The price of the natural gas Belarus buys from Russia will stand at US102-103 per 1,000 cubic metres as from July 1, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told media, reported the press-centre of government.by.

“According to the formula, which is based on derivatives of oil, gas and fuel oil, taking into account the price for oil and the derivatives in Q1 and Q2 (the calculation takes into account the last three quarters), as from July 1 the gas price for Belarus is estimated at US 102-103,” said Vladimir Semashko. He reminded that since January 1 Belarus has been paying US 210.3 per 1,000 cubic metres. At present the price stands at US 147.2.

Vladimir Semashko underscored, Belarus has no overdue payments for the Russian gas. “For the last three months we’ve paid in full, using the average price of US 150, which is calculated for one year,” he said. By May 23 Belarus has to pay for the gas consumed in April.
