OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2009. Economics Minister of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn has expressed satisfaction with a possibility to meet with president of Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON) Rэzanur Meral in order to tackle prospects of deepening cooperation between business circles of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey, drawing Turkish investments into Ukraine’s economy and diversification of bilateral trade.

Experience of Turkey, according to Bohdan Danylyshyn, in creating conditions for functioning business (not only of huge but first of all small and average which is a basic element of economics of any country) in drawing foreign investments, regional territorial development, creation and functioning of free economic and industrial zones deserves attention and overall study of a possibility to adapt it under present conditions of development of Ukrainian economics.

The Economics Minister underlined favourable investment climate in Ukraine still remains an issue of strategic importance on realization of which the dynamics of social-economic development and a chance to modernize the national economics on this basis are dependant.

“Development of mutually beneficial trade-economic and investment relations with the Turkish Republic is one of priority lines of foreign economic policy of Ukraine, especially under the present conditions,” Bohdan Danylyshyn emphasized.

As the head of economic department put it, a breakthrough in bilateral trade-economic relations, despite the influence of the global financial crisis, can not be made without significant diversification of the structure of bipartite trade and, first of all, significant increase of share of up-to-date and high-end technology production in its total amount and also enlargement of trade in services, intensifying of cooperation in investment, banking spheres, in building, agro-industrial and tourism areas.

“Cooperation between Ukrainian and Turkish business circles will facilitate deepening of strategic partnership between the states, further development of mutually beneficial investment cooperation both at the account of broadening the presence of Turkish business on Ukrainian market as well as Ukrainian business in the Republic of Turkey,” Bohdan Danylyshyn summed up.
