OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2009. Voronezh Information Center for Nuclear Energy and Voronezh State University held a business game “Tomorrow I will be Nuclear Power Engineer!”

On June 3 2009 Voronezh Information Center for Nuclear Energy and Voronezh State University held a business game “Tomorrow I will be Nuclear Power Engineer!” for students of the Vocational Education Department of Voronezh State University. The game was a good opportunity for the youths to check up their knowledge of physics and to learn how to write a CV. They were even interviewed for employment at an NPP! They learned that a nuclear power plant, as any other company, needs very different professions.

“This game was an important step to inform the population about nuclear power plants. This program demonstrates that work at NPP requires very high qualification. Only highly qualified personnel can ensure stable and safe operation. That’s exactly why “nuclear power engineer” has a proud sound!” Director of the Information Center Yulia Kuznetsova said.

Shortly the Center is planning to organize a series of games “Tomorrow I will be Nuclear Power Engineer” for schoolchildren of Voronezh and Voronezh region.

The Voronezh Information Center for Nuclear Energy was opened in late Jan 2009 under a special program of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation with the support of Atomenergoprom. Almost 4,800 people have visited the Center so far.

It is a modern multimedia cinema demonstrating on a daily basis an interactive program “The World of Nuclear Energy” and educational films on astronomy, geography and national studies for schoolchildren, students and adults.

The address of the Center is 100 Rabochiy Avenue, Voronezh.
