OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2009. 30 chestnuts have been planted in the territory of TVEL OJSC


The 30 chestnuts that were used for decoration of the exhibition of Atomexpo 2009 international forum (Expocenter, Moscow, May 26–28 2009) were planted in the territory of TVEL OJSC on June 3 2009.

Representatives of Atomexpo OJSC, Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, Atomenergoprom OJSC and TVEL OJSC took part in the action organized on the initiative of the organizer of the forum, Atomexpo.

“This is a beautiful symbol of the successful start of the new project, Atomexpo international forum. Atomexpo is supposed to grow and cover traditional and potential partners from all over the world,” Head of the Press Service Department of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Novikov said during the ceremony.

Director General of Atomexpo OJSC Nikolay Doronin said that the action symbolized the long-term effect of such events for the national nuclear industry.

“We are grateful to Atomexpo for its initiative to plant the chestnuts in our territory. We are happy that chestnuts, the ecological symbol of the new project, will grow at our company, one of Russia’s leading companies and one of the world’s top three nuclear fuel producers,” Vice President of TVEL OJSC Igor Voytash said.
