OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 June 2009 was announced, that Transaero Airlines had launched a new domestic route from Moscow to Irkutsk, adding yet another destination to its domestic route network.

The flight, under the code UN115/116, has initially been scheduled to run twice a week, departing from Moscow on Friday and Sunday and departing from Irkutsk on Saturday and Monday.

Departure from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow will be at 23:40 pm local time (GMT+3) and arrival in Irkutsk will be at 10:20 pm local time (GMT+8). Departure from Irkutsk will be at 12:20 local time, with arrival in Moscow at 13:40 local time.

Transaero will be operating modern Tupolev 214 aircraft on this route, with a 184 passenger capacity in comfortable business and economy classes. Boeing 767 aircraft will also be operated on this route.

The launch of the Moscow-Irkutsk route is another step forward in realizing Transaero’s route development strategy. In the first half of 2009 alone, Transaero has expanded its domestic route network by launching flights from Moscow to Kazan, Magadan, Samara, Ufa and Blagoveshensk.
