OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 June 2009 was announced, that in May 2009, sales of consumer-size flour by the Altay grain processor PAVA were up 30% against the comparable period in 2008. The growth rate against April of the current year stood at 5%.

“This year, we were more successful during the seasonal fall in consumer-size product sales. If, last year, the sales graph only began to rise in July, now this tendency can already be observed in May”, says Angela Kiseleva, PAVA Commercial Director.

May results have shown that consumer demand began to shift towards flour in 5 kg package. Its sales went up by 7% compared to May 2008. According to PAVA specialists it can be explained by increased output of home bakery. Housewives began to bake more bread along with traditional pies and flour pastry.

PAVA Rebrikha mill became the leader in the volume of manufactured consumer-size products.
