OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 June 2009 was announced, that Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) had launched its summer recreation programme for its employees' children. As in previous years, despite the difficult situation in the economy in general and in the potassium sector in particular, the Company continues to finance this program and will allocate about 15.5 million rubles (as compared with 12 million rubles allocated for the summer of 2008) to pay for children's vacation vouchers.

Traditionally, a children’s health center based at the Uralskoye Razdolye, a suburban rest home for the Company's employees, will open its doors for children from early summer. In 2008, this rest home was recognized as the best health center in the Perm Territory. During their summer vacation, children will rest at the Uralskoye Razdolye in four 21-day shifts. Uralkali plans to provide rest home vouchers to a total of 1,480 children (In the summer of 2008, vouchers were given to 1,320 children). The Uralskoye Razdolye traditionally runs not only health and recreation programs, but also educational ones. For this year, the teachers at the Uralskoye Razdolye developed a new educational program, The Names Of Russia or A Mysterious Disappearance, based on the contents of the popular media projects Seven Wonders Of The World, The Names Of Russia, and Night At The Museum. To help the children to unravel historical mysteries, the program participants will be assisted by the heads of various study groups and the Uralskoye Razdolye's television center. In 2008, for its program The Mystery Of A Wonderful Clock or Discovering Laws Of Universal Amazement, aimed at developing children's research skills, the rest home was awarded the Grand Prix at the All-Russian Forum for Organizers of Recreation and Health Programs for Children and Young People.
